Getting money to where it matters – that’s what a money transfer is all about. With Ria, your recipient (or yourself!) can get a money transfer in a variety of ways.
At a glance, we offer four payout options:
- Bank account deposit
- Cash pickup
- Mobile wallets
- Home delivery (available in six countries)
We’ll cover these in more detail below for both senders and recipients.
Our best advice? If you’re sending to someone else, check to see what option works best for them. And if you aren’t familiar with Ria, here’s how you can send with us.
Receiving a bank deposit transfer
Ria has a network of over 3 billion bank accounts across more than 125 countries. Plus, bank deposit is one of the most convenient ways to receive money. Your friends and family don’t even have to leave home to get their money!
If you’re a sender, you’ll need the following:
- The recipient’s full legal name (as shown on a government ID)
- Their address
- Their phone number
- Bank name
- An IBAN, swift code, or bank code, depending on where you’re sending
If you’re a recipient, you don’t need to do anything except provide the info above to the sender. We recommend a phone call so that you can keep your info as secure as possible!
Receiving a cash pickup at a Ria location
With over 470,000 locations in 165 countries, cash pickup at a Ria location is also a great option. As a sender, you can choose a location that’s close to your recipient for their convenience.
Find a location to get started! You can also use our app or Google Maps.
There are many countries in our network where you don’t even have to choose a specific pickup location. Instead, you can choose a payout partner, like banks and post offices, for recipients to pick up the transfer at any of their locations.
If you’re a sender, all you’ll need is the recipient’s full legal name as shown on their government ID. But don’t forget to share the PIN number and order details with your recipient! It’s easy with our website or mobile app, but a simple call or text will help the person you’re sending to.
If you’re a recipient, you’ll need:
- A government-issued photo ID
- The PIN or Order Number of the money transfer
It’s important that the recipient’s name is the same on the money transfer details and on the photo ID. If it doesn’t, the money transfer can’t be picked up. If you feel you’ve misspelled or missed a name, our customer service team will be happy to help!
Receiving a transfer with a mobile wallet
With more than 200 million accounts in 20 countries, recipients can get a money transfer directly into one of their mobile wallet apps. Some of these countries include Albania, Bangladesh, Burundi, Croatia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
It’s fast, it’s convenient, and it’s accessible for those who rely on mobile wallets for paying bills.
If you’re a sender, you’ll need to visit a Ria location for this payout option! You’ll also need the following info:
- The mobile wallet company name
- The account number
If you’re a recipient, you don’t need to do anything except provide the info above to the sender. We recommend a phone call so that you can keep your info as secure as possible!
Receiving money with home delivery
Home delivery is available in Armenia, the Dominican Republic, Hungary, Morocco, the Philippines, and Vietnam! This is an extremely convenient option for recipients – especially if they need cash.
If you’re a sender, you’ll need the following:
- The recipient’s full legal name (as shown on a government ID)
- Their address
- Their phone number
If you’re a recipient, you’ll need:
- A government-issued photo ID
- The PIN or Order Number of the money transfer
Most importantly, you’ll need to be home! To make sure your funds are safe, we can only complete the delivery if you’re there to sign off for it. Our Track a Transfer feature can help you figure out when it will arrive, though.
If you’re ready to send, we’re ready for you. Download our app on iOS or Android today to get started. And if you’re receiving a Ria money transfer, there are many ways to track your transfer with us.
