How to make international money transfers from the Ria app?

Ria's money transfer service is available at more than 500,000 physical locations globally, follow the steps below:

Locate a Ria branch near you using the mobile app or store locator.

Go to the nearest branch with your valid ID and the full name of the beneficiary you wish to send money to.

The store staff will guide you through the process to make the transfer.

How to make international transfers in person with Ria?

You can create a Ria account from the app or website.

Log in to https://www.riamoneytransfer.com/

Click on the Register option, located in the upper right corner.

Choose your country of residence and click Start.

Enter the code we send to your phone number.

Enter your personal information: first and last name, date of birth and e-mail address (in some cases we may also ask you for: country of birth, nationality, occupation and valid official identification).

Select if you wish to receive marketing messages from Ria.

Create an account from the Android and iOS app

Enter the 6-digit code we send to your phone.

Read Ria's terms of service and accept them.

Enter your first name with last name, e-mail address and date of birth (in some cases we may also ask for: country of birth, nationality, occupation and valid ID).

To make international money transfers with Ria you need to have the following information at hand:

Receiver's information: Full name with last name (as they appear on the recipient's official ID), physical address and telephone number. In case you are making a deposit to a bank account, you will also need the account number and the name of the bank it belongs to.

Amount of money to send: you can use the exchange rate calculator on the Ria website or mobile app to confirm the amount you are sending before sending.

Payment method: Consider whether you will be making a money transfer using your debit or credit card, or if it will be a cash deposit. If this is the first time you are making a money transfer with Ria, we recommend that you have your credit or debit card ready to enter the information. If you wish, you can save this information in the app for a faster transfer the next time. On the other hand, if it will be a cash transfer, we recommend that you check the locations of Ria stores from the app or using the online store locator.

What information do I need to make international money transfers?

You don't need to have a bank account to send money from Ria. You simply need to create an account on our website or app.

You can send cash at one of the more than 500 thousand stores that offer Ria's services.

In case you want to make an electronic funds transfer, you will need to have a bank account.

How to transfer money to a bank account? 

The recipient can pick up their cash at one of the more than 500,000 locations that offer Ria services.

Use the store locator or the mobile app to find the nearest Ria branch.

Remind your recipient to have a valid ID and the PIN you received when making the transfer.

How to make a money transfer if the recipient does not have a bank account?

The way you make the payment, the day and time of the week, country, as well as security checks can affect the time it takes to send money abroad.

How long do international transfers take?

When making international money transfers with Ria you retain a small fee for making the transfer. The fee depends on several factors such as the amount of the transfer, the payment method and the sending country.
